This is a simple recipe for a delicious and versatile sauce.? Credit goes to my daughter, a very creative cook, who designed this recipe.


Tangy Tahini Dressing (vegan and whole foods plant based)


What I love about the recipe is:


It can be mixed in one bowl; no blender or food processor needed.

It keeps in the fridge for up to five days

and it is wonderful on a salad, with falafel or on a Buddha Bowl.


I love the Tangy Tahini Sauce with this Recovery Buddha Bowl.


The sauce is made with seven ingredients that offer a balanced blend of flavors:


Tangy Lemon

Bitter and creamy Tahini

Umami rich and Salty Soy Sauce (and some more salt if you like)

Aromatic Ginger

Spicy Garlic

and some Water

Tangy Tahini Sauce

My daughter created this versatile and simple to prepare flavorful sauce. Enjoy it with falafel, on a salad or a nourishing Buddha Bowl.

Servings 4 servings


  • 1/4 cup tahini Trader Joe's has a really good organic tahini
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice fresh squeezed
  • 3/4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 cup warm water


  • In a medium bowl, stir together all ingredients until well mixed.


This sauce will keep in refrigerator for up to five days. It may thicken over time and can be thinned with some additional water.
