Diana Goldman with T Colin Campbell

So this happened last night…I met one of my heroes at a preview of the highly entertaining and informative film Plant Pure Nation. There are so many great reasons to eat a whole foods, plant-based diet: personal health, the environment, animals, and human rights. I am so grateful to Dr. T. Colin Campbell who has so bravely and tirelessly dedicated his career, swimming against the tide, to providing the public with the truth that we do not need animal derived foods to be healthy…and we are actually better off without them. His bestselling book The China Study and the highly acclaimed documentary Forks Over Knives both feature his work.

Speaking of films, Dr Campbell’s son Nelson has?inherited his father’s determination and dedication to spreading the word about the power of a whole foods, plant-based diet. His film Plant Pure Nation is scheduled for release in theaters on July 4th 2015 and I was fortunate to see a preview cut in Boston last night. Nelson Campbell explores the question: If doctors and public officials are becoming increasingly aware that the scientific evidence suggests that a whole foods, plant-based diet can prevent and even reverse heart disease, diabetes and cancer, why aren’t more of them sharing this information with their patients or the public?  This wonderful film follows Nelson as he takes matters into his own hands to jumpstart a food revolution in rural small town America.

With warm wishes xo,

Diana
