Dear Reader-

I’ve found the key to healthy eating on-the-go is being prepared. Yes, you may get lucky and come across an adorable little beach cafe serving fresh squeezed juices, buffalo tofu bites and chickpea kale salads or a gourmet modern mecca with sleek outdoor seating and divinely prepared raw plant-based Thai lettuce wraps and kimchi dumplings. But the likelihood is, in most parts of the country, you’ll find yourself in a restaurant with the standard American fare, relieved and grateful that there is at least one item on the menu that can be veganized for you.

How to stay up-beat away from home when culinary choices are so limited? Snacks…a variety and lots of them. Before traveling, I’ve been known to pay more attention to the items in my cooler than my suitcase. Hey if the tummy is grumbling…a fancy pair of shoes ain’t gonna solve that problem for you.

With that in mind, before the last trip I took, I prepared a video of my 10 ten favorite snacks I love to travel with. I thought it would be helpful for plant-based travelers on-the-go or for that matter, anyone, who is looking to nourish their bodies with yummy health-promoting goodies.
