Hello Dear Reader-
I teach free, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare Foundation grant-funded healthy cooking classes in Boston. One of the main goals of the program is to debunk myths about plant-based eating and show participants that the diet is nutritionally adequate, health promoting, satisfying
…and delicious!
This is one of the recipes we share…created by my very talented colleague Annie. It is creamy, sweet and flavorful without the use of any dairy products. It is made with just four ingredients:
vitamin rich Bananas
citrusy Oranges
calcium rich vanilla Almond Milk (or other plant-based milk)
tropically flavorful frozen Pineapples or Mangoes
How to make it?
A few steps…
peel, measure and cut fruit
measure plant based milk
blend all ingredients together
How easy is that? Such a healthy and nutritious breakfast or snack.
If you like a little challenge, try making your own almond milk. No need of course…have you noticed the way plant-based milks are allotted more and more space on the supermarket shelves? But, if you want to give it a try, here is a simple Homemade Almond Milk recipe.
Thanks so much for visiting. A plant-based diet is great for the planet, the animals and you!
xo, Diana
